Job Description:

We see the consultation process as a service we perform for our prospective new clients (PNC), not as something to be done “to” them for fee collection. Do you have the same mindset?

When working for our law firm, in the intake department, you will drive our ability to help people with their immigration cases by using your knowledge of immigration (from past paralegal work) and empathy to perform intake and sign the PNC up for a consultation with one of our team members.

The Experienced Intake person meets by telephone or video, with PNC’s who are assigned to his or her calendar by their manager. You will help the PNC find clarity about their situation, educate them about their options and help them make the best decision for their future and for the firm to achieve its goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the pre-conditioning packages and systems meant to help a prospective new client get prepared for their meeting are in fact received by the prospective new clients (PNC’s) they are scheduled to meet with in the coming days and weeks.
  • Following-up with PNC’s who said “no” and with current clients to conduct quality
    control calls and interviews.
  • Keeps detailed notes in a central database documenting all contacts with the PNC both before, during and after the meeting including all follow-up attempts.
  • Facilitates a professional introduction (“hand off”) to the legal team once an engagement is signed and then opens the file.
  • Manages the welcome process.
  • Conducts quality control checks at predetermined milestones during the first 30 days and in some cases, during the pendency of the matter.
  • Meet regularly with team members to discuss goals, initiatives, performance areas, etc.
  • Develops and maintains records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed
  • Manage own schedule to balance availability for meeting with prospective new clients as
  • Actively engage in dialogue with management regarding the quality and volume of the leads, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement based on your “front lines” experience.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate should have prior experience successfully converting clients to purchase high ticket tangible products and professional or financial services utilizing a consultative methodology.
  • The successful candidate should have some “real life” experience which they can use to empathize with PNC’s who often come to our firm with challenging and sometimes deeply personal situations.
  • The successful candidate embraces metrics, score keeping, transparency and accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute must both in person, by phone andvia email. You should be a lifelong learner with proven track record of self-improvement to keep your sales skills sharp.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills

    Exceptional candidates will have an impressive ability to establish connections with clients and potential clients, find out where they need support and let them know you are there for them, and do whatever it takes to provide the service they are requesting. (You also know how to distinguish the needs of the clients and be able to direct them accordingly.)

    Compensation: The base pay for this role is commensurate with experience/education. $12k-18k/YR + COMMISSION/BONUSES on a monthly/quarterly/annual cycle. Potential to take home is significant.

    Work Conditions: This position will perform duties under normal office working conditions, including the prolonged use of a computer, office equipment, and working in close proximity to others. Essential physical requirements may include standing, walking, stooping, typing, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
